Privacy policy
Last updated: 16 October 2026
Policy Wonk is a free library of public policy case studies. You can use the whole site without an account, and we don’t track you. This page explains the little information we do handle.
Browsing the site
We don’t use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. Fonts and all site files are served from our own site, so browsing doesn’t share your information with other companies.
Sending feedback
If you use the feedback form, we receive your message and anything else you choose to include: a source link, your name and your email address. Name and email are optional. We use them only to read and act on your feedback, and email only to reply if you asked us to.
To keep out spam, the feedback form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you’re a person. It runs only on the feedback page and may process technical information such as your IP address and browser details, under Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy policy. It doesn’t set tracking cookies.
Feedback is stored in a private Google Sheet that only the Policy Wonk team can access, using Google Workspace services such as Google Sheets and Apps Script. We don’t sell or share it, and we delete feedback when it’s no longer needed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and California law, you can ask us to access, correct or delete feedback you’ve sent. Use the feedback form, include the email address you used, and tell us what you’d like us to do. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Links to other sites
Case studies link to their original sources, such as journals and government sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Children
Policy Wonk is not directed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above.
